10:13 AM ET 02.26 | It doesn't appear Chuck Amato will be the Charlotte 49ers' first football coach. Amato, a former N.C. State coach who took the Wolfpack to five bowls in seven seasons, hasn't been interviewed for the job although he has applied for it. In fact, Amato hasn't heard from 49ers officials at all, according to sources.
