Camaro entering NASCAR lineup?

About time. I guess Chevy wants to actually have a sports car in the series like the Mustang and Charger.

Has anyont told Kodiack about this? I thought GM said they would not change the body style of the Camaro to fit the nascar template. Great if it does happen. It will be nice to see.

We just could not get the Camaro to fit the NASCAR template, without compromising its unique styling,??? Kemp said.

But he said subsequent discussions with NASCAR has resolved some of those template problems.

???It is not a dead issue,??? Kemp said of the Camaro model being the NASCAR Chevrolet of the future. ???We are learning a lot about how we can get more relevance into the car without sacrificing performance or styling.???

We all know that Nascar won't change the template for one automaker so is G.M making styling changes to meet Nascar specs ?

About time.. Just like all the other brands, I see GM dropping the Impala line soon. Everything is scaling down again. The Camaro is a perfect fit in branding alongside the mustang and challenger.

GM wil be focusing on the mid and even more on the smaller size platforms., as are they all

So if GM uses the camaro, Ford has the Mustang, and Dodge has the challenger, What model do you think Toyota is going to use? Civic, Corolla, Accord, If they reaaly want to go green they could always use the Prius.

Impala isn't disappearing..they need a sedan in the lineup. Although word is that what was the Pontiac G8 is coming back with a Chevy badge and a new name (not Impala.) Guess we'll see.

Toyota doesn't make the Accord..that's a Honday ;). Could come back with a Supra.....
