07:36 AM ET 03.01 | Robin van Persie is a serious doubt for Arsenal's Champions League clash against Barcelona next Tuesday. Van Persie, 27, injured his right knee in scoring his 13th goal in 11 games this year in Arsenal's 2-1 loss on Sunday to Birmingham. Arsenal also suffered a second blow after it emerged that Thomas Vermaelen will not be fit enough to make his long-awaited comeback for the reserves against West Ham Tuesday.

Bayern, I doubt it made the news on the East Coast, but please tell me you saw the interview with Zsa Zsa Gabor's dumbsheat husband the other day following the break in at their home. The 70 something year old whack job was walking around wielding a baseball bat and a Bayern track suit telling the press that the robbers were lucky that he wasn't home or he would have thrashed them. This coming from the dude who swalloed a bee and glued his eyes shut by accident. Thank Gareth he isn't a Madrid fan...
