08:27 AM ET 03.01 | With the 11th-hour buyout of Corey Brewer, the Mavericks are waiting to see if the former Minnesota swingman might fit their needs heading into the final weeks of the season. Owner Mark Cuban said that the team is leaning toward signing Sasha Pavlovic, who was with the team for two 10-day contracts in January.

I take Brewer over Pavlovic....I mean he is athletic and Kidd will make him useful...But im not sure how much time either of them will get..

D'Antoni asked Brewer what his calling card is and his response was defense. Right there Mike called Walsh and told him to get rid of his real quick.

If I'm Mavs even though I need a small forward I'd go after Pavlovic. The fact that both Wolves and Knicks let Brewer go tells me he's damaged goods...

Brewer was an Expiring contact throw in the Eddy, Randolph trade from NY .... nothing more / nothing less ..... damaged goods!

... Word was after the Trade, NY was trying to Flip Brewer to Boston for a draft pick ....

... open up PT for Wesley Johnson, MINNY 1st round pick at sG

I never thought he had much upside coming into the NBA.

I'd give him the benefit of doubt since Minny is the only NBA franchise he's ever known.

And really the MAVS are just looking for the 15th man .... not a Starter, or 6th man

Both would get pretty good minutes backing up Peja until, or if, Caron Butler comes back. As a Mavs fan, I would love either one of them. Sasha did well in his two 10-day contracts with his defense, especially on Kobe awhile back. Brewer would be just as good with his athleticism and that good mid-range jumper he has. I'm a little torn actually, to be honest.

Brewer should put a call out to the Wolves...

They've got the Cap Space :-)

Cuban is a Bum, he'll need a lot more than Pavlovic, the guy [ Cuban ] talks out his nose.
