09:33 AM ET 03.03 | Hours after signing D.J. Ware to a contract extension, the Giants have apparently come to terms on a deal with another impending free agent. Wide receiver/returner Domenik Hixon wrote on his Facebook page earlier tonight he and the team have reached an agreement on an undisclosed contract.

Good thing he got that done. Now he can count the days until he actually sees that money.

Should be over 365 days, since there will not be a 2011 NFL season ...

Just think of all the people that will be out of a job when the CBA goes off line ... not only the players, coaches and staff ... the refs, the chain crew, the replay officials, the stadium employees, the food and beer distributors, the networks, the announcers, the talking heads (although I imagine they'll get by yaking about the lockout) ... there will be no "replacements" ...

and the end all to be all out of all this ... it'll cost the fans even more to attend and those of us that don't attend ... will have to pay through the nose to the NFL Network on cable just to see the games anymore ... *sigh*

I already can't afford tickets and don't have the NFL Network available to me on my cable provider. For the last 3 years, my only real access was "game rewind" at nfl.com. I say "was" because even that has now been priced out of my budget. I emailed nfl.com yesterday and told them it was my last visit to their website, that I would no longer be purchasing anything from them and won't even go back to the website. Their greed, after 50+ years of my being a faithful fan, has pushed me out of fandom. I can't afford it. Not sure what I'm going to do now, even if there is a season this year, but it won't be the NFL. They're too greedy for me. It's time for a major change in my life and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

And America will realize how little they missed the NFL. Around July people will get anxious and if it goes to November no one will miss it, they might be wondering if their cable bill will go down. Las Vegas will lose a big chunk of money but it won't put them out of business, for some small sports bars it may put them out of business. Wonder how much it will affect magazine sales Athlon, Lindy's or if they are even planning on printing if the CBA goes past a certain month? Even Michael Phelps isn't holding his breath on when it will be signed.

Good for you girl. May I suggest a gentle coming down of your addiction. First take up knitting so you can knit what was your favorite players uniform. Then go to a few High School or College games. Next buy one of those old football games ( the one where the metal football field vibrates) and when you get tired of watching little plastic men go around in circles, well, I'm sure you will find other ways in which it can give you pleasure. If you want to do some charitable work, you could go down to the soup kitchen and hand off bowls of soup to some of the ex NFL players.

Actually he is number five on the WR depth chart. ( Nicks,Smith, Manningham, Barden then Hixon). This is about the return game. Without him they were awful. Really awful.

Even worse than I thought. It's gonna be a loonng FN offseason (both literally and figuratively)...

The only good thing to come out of the lockout and the NFL (No Football League) is that I won't have to pay $35 to park at the stadium any more
