06:38 AM ET 03.04 | Oregon protested innocence Thursday after reports of payments by the school to two individuals closely connected to Ducks recruits surfaced on ESPN.com and Yahoo Sports. If either or both individuals steered recruits to Oregon while being paid by the school, it would violate NCAA rules. UO spokesman Dave Williford did not dispute that Oregon made the payments, but said both had been vetted by the school's compliance office and were within NCAA rules. "We have nothing to hide," Williford said.

The University of Oregon paid more than $28,000 to two men with ties to multiple recruits who signed letters of intent with the school, Yahoo! Sports has learned.

According to State of Oregon expenditure records, the university paid $25,000 to Will Lyles of Complete Scouting Services in Houston, and $3,745 to Baron Flenory of New Level Athletics. Lyles is a former athletic trainer who recently was serving as a mentor to highly touted Ducks running back recruit Lache Seastrunk. Meanwhile, Flenory runs the Badger Sports Elite 7-on-7 football camps which have featured several celebrated Ducks signees including running back DeAnthony Thomas, defensive back Cliff Harris, defensive back Dior Mathis and wideout Tacoi Sumler. Flenory had a personal training relationship with recent Ducks signee Anthony Wallace.

When is going to come out that they also paid Aubie for consultant fees on how to do this? If it was spped involved it had to come from the SEC, they are the only ones with it.

Dogs sleep with dogs...and if you crap too close to the house you track it in. Nothing says schools/coaches have to recruit kids with "handlers"...or their dad's pimping them out. Oregon, etal chose to deal with this slime.

Hint.. it rhymes with NIP as lets nip this in the bud...how else you would get these kids to Oregon... Funnel $$ to Lyles and then the family... Aubie better stay away from Matt Davis

A lot more than just those two, just those two getting caught, at part of it, who knows all the rest that happens that slips by with no one the wiser. I still do not see much that they can prove to upset the apple cart, yet.
