Sixers contract history favors Iguodala

09:42 AM ET 11.12 | Andre Iguodala and the other top players from the 2004 draft class know they left a lot of money on the table when they did not sign contract extensions before the Oct. 31 deadline. Iguodala apparently was seeking more than $55 million over five years, which is what Kevin Martin of Sacramento received. Charlotte's Emeka Okafor and Chicago's Ben Gordon and Luol Deng might have turned down even more money than that. But they all know they should get what they're seeking, and maybe even more, beginning July 1, when they become restricted free agents. All Iguodala has to do is look at his 76ers teammate, Samuel Dalembert, who went through the same process three years ago.

Iggy will get paid, trust me. Philly is going to be really nice to him.

If igoudala can't perform consistently this year then Philly does not need to over pay him. Their losing anyway. Wait for a legitimate young star to become available. They overpaid Samuel Dalembert and Willie Green. Unless they become the Pre-Isiah Knicks then they will not overpay this guy.

If they're smart, they'll not let him slip to another team. He's pretty much all they have at this point and losing him would be catastrophic.
