Spoelstra mystifies Heat players

08:16 AM ET 03.06 | Although there was no word on coach Erik Spoelstra's behind-closed-doors behavior after the Spurs loss, a couple players were mystified that Spoelstra ??? after the Orlando debacle Thursday -- talked about how the loss will help make them better and how they're close to a breakthrough, instead of acting livid and fed up with the blown leads. More anger, and being tougher on players making mistakes, would be justified, one player said. Considering the Heat takes so many jumpers, one questioned why Miami doesn???t post up LeBron James more.

Spo isn't the coach, LeFake is.

The Miami media and fans are now learning something that CLE fans know too well. Why won't LBJ post up? CLE fans and media screamed for LBJ to post up more for years and he never did. It's not ability its desire. He doesn't want to be a post up player. He always resisted playing in the post, probably always will. Good luck.

These comments sound eeriely familiar. The same things were said about the "talent" when he was in Cleveland. And these "leaks" are probably coming from the same people who "leaked" info in Cleveland. All these issues and the only consistent factor - the "talent" himself.

James loves the ball in his hand on the perimeter. It's a shame, he can do so much damage without the ball.

Posting up is a skill and not everyone has it. He doesn't at this point but he could work on it over the summer. Lebron has never played that way and it might be asking to much.

Here is the scapegoat for this lost season.

if that is true, get rid of Spo and bring in someone that can control this team

Watching the Heat games, whenever the camera goes to Spoe I know I am never convinced he is in control of the situation or he's team.
Watching the Magic come back the other night you can't tell me that Jackson, Pop, Thib, McMillan or just about any other coach wouldn't have been all over he's team before the Magic got within double figures.
Someone made a good point that Howard played most of that come back stretch in foul trouble - and no one, not the coach, LBJ, wade or the oh so soft Bosh thought it might be a good idea to take it inside & foul Howard out?

As for Spoe not blowing up and saying that they would learn from it. The only thing I ever learnt in my non professional sporting days from unacceptable losses, was how hard the coach made us work in practice after a humiliating loss & he never let us forget that loss. Walking from the field/court and not having the coach be able to look at any of us after was the lowest feeling one could have. Then again I was always lucky enough to play under Men I respected. It's obvious Spoe doesn't have the respect of he's team and that's not only sad but a big problem.

The Heat bench is ranked the least productive in the league. Even worse if Bosh has one of he's 1/17 shooting nights out.

D3 - I guess most of what you spoke about comes down to the Heat just playing better team ball & knowing their role. It seems like the only one who THINKS he knows he's role is LBJ. Wade, Bosh, the coach & the rest of the team are second guessing what they need to do and should do.

The nicest thing Riley could do would be to replace Spo.

Why should anyone else do anything when LePunk does it all himself. Until they lose. when suddenly everybody else is at fault...

Ha ha true - you can't hog all the glory and not take the blame when you don't come through when it counts.
