Does Wade regret staying with Heat?

09:07 AM ET 03.06 | I've never heard anything from Dwyane Wade, and I did raise the subject with him at the All Star game. But I've heard numerous team officials wonder how much Wade regrets not joining Derrick Rose in Chicago. A bit of the luster of Wade is being scraped off in even Miami as he's been ignored in basically every late game sequence by LeBron James or Chris Bosh in recent weeks. Media now is pointing to his poor defense, mostly gambling for steals and giving up easy baskets and drives that compromise the defense. It is pointed out he stands around on offense a lot and just watches without moving much. There are complaints he complains too much about calls and doesn't run back on defense, and why he has ceded so much to James.

Um and this is a shock to who? D_Wade really has no role at this point.

Too late, Bro.

Well, the rose is off the bloom here, pretty damn fast.

What's really sad is that the media jumped all over the Heat like they were the greatest team of all time, giving them their own websites within sports sites and so forth.

Anyway, he had no choice to cede control to MeBron, he learned pretty fast. It's MeBron's league, everyone else is just allowed to play in it.

Or something like that.....

I think there is no doubt that Wade in hindsight wishes things had played out differently. For as much cr@p as LBJ gets in these forums I think Wade wishes when this roster had been put together that I stead of the over rated Bosh, that he had tried to work a deal with Amare or even Boozer as the 3rd member. Forget this Heatles stuff the Heat really are more like 2 1/2 Men at the moment.
As for the Bulls, I'm sure D Wade would love to have Rose running point, with Boozer & Noah banging down low.
So glad the Bulls decided to not lose Asik at the trade deadline.
Looking fwd to Rose & Co putting more hurt and continue the Heat skid.

I don't think he regrets anything (yet).
Wade and the Heat will be measured by their post-season success.
It's too soon to draw conclusions.

I'm sure he regrets the last two losses...lol

I don't think he regrets staying.......I do think he regrets recruiting and colluding to get lbj

Exactly. My 1st thought also. Imagine MIA if they had used that 14.5mill on filling out the roster with solid role players. Wade+Bosh+solid, deep bench. More of a team and less a collection of talent.

The same problem he has in Miami, he will have in Chicago. Rose is a scoring point, that means he takes a lot of shots and Wade would be sitting on the perimerter.

True, the Heat will be judged by what they do or don't achieve in the Post Season.
That being said, you have to worry about a team with a terrible track record of closing out close games (not to mention, blowing monster leads). Play offs are hard fought affairs. At this stage it appears as though as well as not having any dominant inside presence this current Heat line up may lack the mental fortitude to get it done in the play offs.

Agreed. You also have to worry about any team that features James, Bosh, & Wade.

Looks like it's the Second round and done for this group.

Rudderless ship...

True Biggie - not only do you have to worry about those 3, but also the least productive bench in the league...ouch

I don't like the Heat but they will be MAJOR players for years. Why is everyone selling them short when they haven't even played a whole season together yet? They will add pieces next year and be even better.

The bench is awful. I can see them making a run anyhow.

part of that is because they are hardly used in the right way. Against Miami, bring in Z, he can't keep up with howard but he can force him out of the paint. LEaving room for LBJ and wade to attack. Forget trying to win games with LBJ. Set up a play that include Eddie HOuse, Miller.

Wade didn't think it would take this long for his team to gel. After all he and Bron are buddies and Bosh too.Surely had Wade been on the bulls with Rose,Boozer and co. the bulls would have the top seed in the east.I can guarantee you if things don't work out as there is a stumbling block in there play as of late...If they don't get far in the playoffs I can see Wade wanted LeQueen traded. And what better trade to request...LbNiqueQueen for D Will and Brook Lopez.

Wow another new name for bron bron!
LeQueen is is your best one yet!
