Bad news for Tom Brady?

08:02 AM ET 03.07 | Protecting Tom Brady, who remains in a walking boot a month after surgery, may be New England's top priority at the draft. Stephen Neal has retired. Nick Kaczur doesn't want to take a pay cut and could be released. Matt Light is an unrestricted free agent and may not return. Logan Mankins is bound only by a franchise tag that may or may not exist going forward under a new collective bargaining agreement. All of a sudden, Brady's wall of protection has sprung a few leaks. ... For those who think a pass-rush specialist should be the Patriots' primary draft focus with two first-round picks (slotted at No. 17 and 28) in the draft, there may be some debate over the top priority. After all, what's more important, getting to the opposing quarterback or keeping Brady healthy?

As long as BB retains his golden touch, there's nothing to worry about.

Unless Mr. Brady has suddenly developed the ability to throw the ball with his ear on the ground, the Patriots better have a plan here.

LOL!

Again, the only veteran the Patriots secure is Brady....

I see the Pats will join the 'Robert Gallery' sweepstakes (chuckle).

Protect Brady and the offense works. Fail to protect him and it doesn't. Fix the O-Line first. Knowing the Patriots, they'll have plenty of picks to use on the pass rush, too.

It's hard to feel sorry for a team that has a stock pile of draft picks...

Well if Tom's running for his life, there's a chance for the Pats to begin fading off their perch. In BIG D, we need a QB.

drafting a sneakier camera man will help tommy boy make quicker decisions, thus buying him a second or 2

I thought the article said they wanted to protect Brady?

I'm surprised it took until comment 13 for the first Spygate reference to appear. 'Tis a kinder, gentler group we have now.

I don't imagine there are too many crying towels in Indy.

The only done deal here is that Neal has retired; the rest is just "what-ifs" and will work itself out.

Nope. But if it makes you feel better, the same senerio started with our QB shortly after our Super Bowl win a few years back, and we STILL haven't gotten it right yet.

From the way the Pats seem to treat their linemen, protecting Brady does not seem like priority #1. Rex Ryan must be playing with his wife's feet in excitement over this news.

Very Funny.

However, I thought it was going to be an article about Brady was being sued by Justin Bieber over hairstyle inffingement.

I am really just glad to find out the article is footaball related.
