League about to catch on to 'Melo's act?

08:09 AM ET 03.07 | Carmelo Anthony: Miscast as a superstar? The Knicks' pursuit of Anthony was more about Cablevision magnate James Dolan's embrace of the star-power culture than a pragmatic basketball decision, so even those in the Knicks' front office weren't completely fooled. ... It has been fun to notice that some folks who should have known better all along finally are catching on to Anthony's act. Because they will have to concede that its story line required buying into a flawed characterization of Anthony as a True Superstar, it might take the league's cable propagandists a little longer to come around to admitting that Anthony is not a great player. Eventually, they'll crawl to that conclusion too.

Can't be any worse than Lebron and the Heat.

Obviously they'll do whatever they can to bring Melo down but little did they know that if ur from NY ur unbreakable. It doesn't matter if Melo puts up monster numbers or not. At the end of the day its about wins and he's helped us win games against the hated Miami and Atlanta. Also don't forget he has to transform his game to fit the new and better system he's in now. Like last night... even though he didn't shoot well he did record a lot of assists not to mention his rebounding prowess. That's all characteristics of a real superstar. He's the real deal. He won NCAA title as a freshman and taken the garbage Denver's been totting to the Western Conference Finals. F you haters... he owns the league.

Lets go NY... Melo's home!

i will respect that... rather than the league trying to catch on lebron's move

This is not news everyone knows melo is overrated. There are aticles every month about his ineffeciency

Good point... Melo has been in the league for 7 years why din't these haters point this out earlier? All along in Denver he was their go-to scorer, clutch, smooth game, elite scorer. Now that he's on the Knicks the adjectives have gone negative? This is priceless :o)

Lost, I agree with the points you make about Melo... But there is one point that baffles me... " ...and better system"... Strange comment coming from you, you've been bashing D'Antoni for the past 2 years now his system is ideal all of a sudden?

That was just to stress he's not performing at his optimal level since he's learning a new system and as a Knick fan it doesn't hurt taking a little dig at Denver. At the end of day both Karl and D'Antoni haven't won a championship so to me their systems is in the same boat. But when it comes to which coach is closer to the ultimate dream D'Antoni gets the edge cos his team is better.

Can I jump on the Knick bandwagon?

The highlight of my resume is I hate the Heat... and got screwed by Lebron and Bosh as a Cavs and Raptors fan...

Lol...No matter what happens on these first few games, wins or losses....It litterally wont be until the last week of the season when we can judge them as they are trying to integrate new major pieces into a teamI am hearing all the right things coming from them.....Lets see if they are just words or if they put their $ where their mouths are

I think unless they get a training camp in it won't be fair to judge their potential. This season is a wash given how the team was gutted. That doesn't mean take it easy on Miami. Also NYkers are known overachievers so I won't be shocked if we go far but to me unless we get a training camp under our belts with the new team we'll be a work-in progress that's still good enough to send Miami packing... that's all I ask for.
