08:01 AM ET 03.09 | A few weeks ago, Tiki Barber was in spin classes, and not a few hours into an improbable comeback he's already taking heat from Antonio Pierce. Not surprisingly, the former Giants linebacker came out swinging at Barber Tuesday, a few hours after the stunning news that Barber is planning to come out of retirement. Pierce has long been critical of Barber both for being a disruption during the Giants' 2006 season and for being critical of Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin after Barber turned to broadcasting the following year. Pierce, speaking on ESPN's NFL Live, said Barber could be "very productive" in his NFL return, but probably not a very good locker room presence. ... "Tiki Barber the person, the leader, the person in that locker room? He's not going to do anything for your team."

Maybe he learned something sitting in the studio. There are some teams with a glaring need at RB.

I like to think ***** learned his lesson already. Tiki will learn his one way or the other this season. I can't see him lasting more than one more NFL season (there's always the CFL or the UFL). At least Tiki's smart enough to not try blaming others for his own stupidity.

I recommend saltines and Sprite for the sour stomach.
