08:12 AM ET 03.10 | The Kevin Love express rolled on, but not without some intrigue. Love woke up Wednesday morning in discomfort and spent the entire day thinking there was no way he would be able to play. He even had a conversation with reserve forward Anthony Tolliver to prepare him for an assignment change. "I told A.T. to be ready tonight," Love said. ... Love hobbled through Wednesday's game for 26 minutes and finished with 16 points and 21 rebounds. Rambis sat him for the entire fourth quarter. By then, the Wolves were well on their way to a rare comfortable win, which gave everyone in the organization a chance to enjoy the milestone instead of fretting over another loss.

What hes doing is remarkable,no doubt.......Whrn you get #'s like that, its no jokeBut the team has like 16 wins.can we at leaast agree that with all his # he doesn't make his team better? And that if you pay him to be your 'star' your franchise is in trouble?

disagree.......First just because he isnt doing it on a good team doesnt matter, did any knick do it while they were bottom feeders? nope
the team has holes, the biggest to me is point guard........with the right pieces the wolves can make some heads turn..they arent as bad as most think......have you really watched them this season?

QUOTE(#3):

Looking at just win total is a simplistic way of determining whether a guy helps a team or not. If there is no coaching plan for defense and offense and you don't have solid team mates then 1 guys isn't going to make a lot of difference by himself.

thank you

He is doing things that have NEVER been done before...Since the merger of the ABA/NBA there have been greats roll through the NBA and NONE of them put up numbers like he has...It doesnt matter that his team has bout 16 wins...IT takes a TEAM to win not one player....

No doubt Love is a 3rd piece to a Championship team, but i will never take away what this guy is doing, he's not super athletic its just plain hard work to get up everyday on a losing team and rebound. WOW!!!!

Great job by Love, only two guys in NBA history who have had a longer streak. Next up Elvin Hayes who had 55 straight double doubles. Then Wilt with 247!, that's like playing for more than 4 seasons and every game a double double, no one will catch Wilt.

JGB don't hate... He's a big guy, he's pulling almost 16boards a game, this shows he's a banger... To me that is more valuable in a big guy than scoring. IMHO, this ranks him above Ru Paul - whom the Heat offered a max contract. Would you rather have Bosh or Kevin Love, do you think Love would not contribute more than Bosh if he was playing along side Wade and the Queen?

no....and that's why I didn't want to pay LeeI'm just saing that Love is a #3 type player, a really good complimentary guy, but I wouldn't pay him the 80 mil thats been floated about unless they already have a proper team in place....thats all- doesn't mean he 'sucks'- but lcelarly he isn't HELPING his team to any wins....regardless of who else he is playing with

Considering who else is making $80 million + -I'd give it to him. The Heat would be much better with Love controlling the boards than Bosh not willing to go into the paint until it is rainbow colored to suit his personality

QUOTE(#19):

lol.....you aren't really understanding what I'm saying- but yes- as a THIRD piece- he'd be GREAT somewhereBut why would he be 'better' than Bosh?he is not good defensively either, he isn't a post scorer and he's only like 6'8/9he'd be better cause he ain't bosh?

you are saying he isn't worth $80 million, but if he isn't than players aren't worth higher salaries they get paid. because someone else will give him that kind of money if you don't.

i agree he can't be the feature piece of a championship team - but he would be superior to bosh on the heat because he controls rebounds -he is averaging close to 5 RPG .....tell me Mr. James or Wade would you like the ball back again after you miss?
