Billups, D'Antoni disagree on return

08:07 AM ET 03.10 | The same question had different answers for Chauncey Billups -- who on Wednesday revealed he also hurt his knee -- and his head coach. Billups will "definitely" return to the New York Knicks lineup by Sunday, coach Mike D'Antoni said. Billups, however, said "definitely" is too strong of a word. Eight days after Billups sustained a deep thigh bruise in a collision with Dwight Howard, his status remained unchanged. He was expected to miss Wednesday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies and sounded doubtful that he would play Thursday night at Dallas. ... "I'm not going to definitely say anything, you know what I'm saying?" Billups said. "When I'm able to play, I will play. I will say that."

You have to trust Chauncey on this one and not push him to come back to soon. These older vets know their body and how it responds so trust him to know when he can play.

besides, D'Antoni an idiot

OK Knick fans after watching your new trio court side this is my conclusion....they can pull a upset with the right match up but they lack any inside offense or defense......Amare has become a small forward ......he shoots more jumpers than melo..not a good sign but for the most part ...a huge upgrade team wise ...their defense sucks as does their rebounding but they are 10x better than last year

I wonder if Dumbtonie will treat Billups like Starbury?

I hope he doesn't. Billups is a proven veteran!

Chauncey just needs to be ready for the playoffs
I think we all want a 3-6 matchup of Heat - Knicks

Throughout all these I am happy Douglas is gaining exposure and earning the point guard of the future rights. His defense and shooting is great. In due time he will perfect the art of running the offense smoothly.

When Billups is ready his old **** can start from the bench. Now on topic... Mike went too far with his projections but it happens all the time. It's not a big deal as Billups knows his body best. The good thing is we can buy him out and ship him to Denver. I wouldn't mind if we swap him for either Gallo or Chandler and go after Dwight Howard.

I agree with you on most points of the post...but Amare creates a lot of contact, he is always have not seen enough Knicks games this year

I have watched almost all their games ....and after seeing him last night in person he shot way to many jumpers ....he could be moved to the small forward because he doesnt go down low at all...reminds you a lot of chris bosh......

check out the shot chart from last night....only 3 of his shots were in the paint

Yeah. Miami will be eliminated in the first round and I hope Knicks get to do the honors. Boston basically gave up their status as title contenders by trading away Perkins. Knicks have the best team in the East with Douglas as starting point guard.

Thats one game...if you saw the other night he was driving too much, and getting contact but not getting whistles...once again..I have watched every Knick game this year...the man draws contact

bro he is in love with the jumper ....dont get mad , dont argue ...thats just what it is......thats not how he use to play but thats damn sure the way he is playing now
