Karl: More exuberance than ever

08:06 AM ET 03.10 | The George Karl era in Denver has not been an easy one for the head coach. Three different front offices, two bouts with cancer and one Melodrama later, there stood Karl at Wednesday's practice, still coaching the Nuggets after all these years -- and looking forward to at least three more years on the sideline. Fresh off his three-year contract extension, with options that could extend it to a six-year deal, Karl seemed as excited as he has been in years. "There's an exuberance to what I'm feeling right now, more so -- because of the circumstances that went on last year -- than I've ever been since I've been here in Denver," he said. "I still think I have tremendous passion to get this game played the right way."

QUOTE(#1):

Karl is an asset to the NBA and I hope he has a couple of more good years in him. I'm excited to see how Denver will look next year.

From Milwaukee .... Not a Karl fan after his last full season in MILW 2002-03 ... at the trade deadline send Ray Allen age 27, to Seattle, for Karl all time favorite player with an expiring contact Gary Payton age 34. and after a first round Lost to NJ Nets. ... who took the first plane Out of Town ... to the LA Lakers.

Too bad he doesn't have the players to make the Nuggets relevant.

They have a lot of role players to work with though...

The whole team is role players. The problem is they don't have legitimate starters. Except for Felton the whole team is backups.

Gotta love George. Wish we still had him in Cleveland.

QUOTE(#3):

It will be interested in how exuberant he will be if management guts the team this offseason

That's the key. All this preaching and "comradarie' isn't gonna last past this season. JR is gone, KMart is gone, neNe will prolly be traded, Chalder will be a restricted FA and I'm sure someone will make a good offer to him that Nuggets can't or don't want to match.
So it will be Karl and Ty.
