CJ2K wants to be a track star

It's nice to see Johnson coming out of his shell and developing some self-confidence.

He's NFL fast but he'd get his clock cleaned against those track guys.

Good move CJ. All that track star money just waiting for you. The groupies, the endorsements, the fame. How could you pass that up.

He could always give them a good straight arm coming out of the blocks, or maybe lay a shoulder into them around the turn. That'll even out the odds.

He might as well, as he'll have a LOT of free time this fall.

not if they are half way down the track by the time he's coming out of his starting block.

As a former competitive runner I think it is not outside the realm of feasibility. His bulk would be a hindrance but that is easily taken care of. With a year to prepare and the right coaching he could make a fantastic relay guy. With such a short time to prepare I doubt he would be any better than middle of the road with the sprinters. Those amongst us who are older will remember Willie Galt and Bob Hayes. They did the opposite, but it's not unheard of to transition. Running, and the gifts to do it well, translate. Catching? Yeah, not so much :D I say go for it, just PLEASE don't slim too much, you need that bulk to carry the Titans running load CJ.

Also, if I where a Titan fan, I wouldn't mind him doing this. At least I would know that the only star on my team was doing something to stay in shape.

Usain Bolt would already be at the 100 meter mark by the time CJ is reaching the 40 yard mark.
It'd be fun to watch though, definitely a perversely fun sportsting even without any NFL to see.
