09:45 AM ET 03.12 | Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel's e-mail tipster told ESPN yesterday that the coach misunderstood his request for confidentiality concerning his reports about player misconduct in selling memorabilia. Columbus lawyer Christopher T. Cicero said that when he asked Tressel to keep his e-mails confidential, he did not mean the coach or Ohio State could not investigate the information he passed along. Cicero, a walk-on player at Ohio State in the early 1980s, said he has received a few death threats this week. Tressel became an assistant coach at Ohio State during Cicero's senior year in 1983. "I'm not the Judas in this situation, you know. I feel like Peter, but I'm not the Judas," Cicero said.

Most evidence so far, points to Mr. Cicero's mom and/or dad, who are huge Buckeye fans!

...Cicero said that when he asked Tressel to keep his e-mails confidential, he did not mean the coach or Ohio State could not investigate the information he passed along...

Then why not inform the OSU compliance section, or someone who would investigate?

Maybe they didn't have 30 pieces of sliver to give him for the info.

I hear Herby had to move his family because of a similar problem.

I read that too. Herbstreit moved to Nashville. Crazy in Columbus.

Oh what a sordid program Ohio State football has become. Jim Tressel, once held in high esteem, now seems to be the partiarch of the Corleone family. They should immediately apply for admission to the SEC where their antics would fit right in with the rest of the cheaters/criminals.

Isn't your program currently under investigation/probation? If you are a Big 10 fan you need Ohio State to stay relevant or your conference won't be.

Curious to see how all this effects Cicero's law practice.

I read an article that said he will at the very least have to go in front of the bar. He will be subpoenaed as well as Tressel and that is when the juice will be spilled.

I want to see the tatoos. They must be court evidence at some point.

Have we ever had a death here on FN? So many old farts I thought it might have happened before...but JK isn't an old fart, is he?
