And in the end, he's probably more gettable than Carson Palmer.

I agree - give him a RB and improve the O-Line and he would be a good add for the TiTans.

That playoff game against the Saints jacked his stock way up.

Hasselbeck is a mediocre QB. He's never thrown for 4,000 yards, gets hurt... a lot and throws for a lot of picks. A stiff wind will put him out with yet another back injury.

I agree with Smoss. Anytime you run into the endzone untouched and throw your back out, it's going to be a bad move for some team. I would only take him if he dropped his asking price. Oh wait, there's a lockout so never mind.

I won't hold that one against Palmer. It's the Bengals, and retaining the services of Marvin Lewis for any reason is probably not encouraging to anyone who has any affiliation to the team. Except Marvin Lewis, of course.

Hard to argue with that, but the Titans options seem to be limited. They still haven't technically released VY yet, have they?

there's some mileage left on those tires. He's been to the Super Bowl, so obviously a good O-line and RB would be his two best friends. He's done as far as his time with the SeaHawks are concerned, but he wouldn't be the first experienced veteran quarterback to move to another team and have success ala Kurt Warner.

I agree it's a special situation.

hasselbeck is to old and to fragile to be of any use in the titans offense .

His mileage is way to high.

More "gettable"? What Pulitzer winner is writing these comments anyway? But of course he or she is correct - Hasslebeck is a nice, long-term answer for the Titans.

I guess it's an okay move given their QB situation but good luck keeping him healthy or counting on him for more than a year or two.

From what I read, CP has enough money. I find it refreshing when we have an
occasional story about a player who does NOT put money FIRST. Despite
what Dick Armey says, more money, lower taxes these things do NOT make us
happier. I believe in the research that shows that doing something we love
and helping others make us happier. Hey, CP just wants to make his family
happier.

I, for one, find a threat to retire as much more commendable than a threat of
