08:20 AM ET 03.14 | Grady Sizemore's important week got off on the right foot Sunday, as Sizemore ran the bases at the Indians' spring-training complex. If all goes well over the next few days, the Gold Glove center fielder could be playing games this weekend or early next week. Sizemore, recovering from microfracture surgery on his left knee, did three sets of base-running drills and reported his knee felt fine. "I felt good coming into the day so I wasn't worried about running the bases," said Sizemore. "I've been doing some simulated stuff on the grass, so I had an idea of how I'd feel. I started off slow and I was able to push it toward the end." Sizemore said the tentative schedule to start playing games is the end of this week or early next week. He has not played in a game since May 16.

I hope Grady takes it slow and doesn't rush to get back into the lineup. I see the Tribe finishing third in the Central so there is no need to hurry!

Interesting with the talent they have I can easily see a last place finish...

I hope he does well. I'd hate to see another promising career lost to injuries.

I was attacked on another thread by saying I think they could be great offensively. Pitching is not going to be great but some of these young guys could be fun to watch. I feel Brantley will come along, Santana is going to be a stud, Hafner can hopefully put up 20 and 80 and Choo is who he is. Add in both Cabreras and Sizemore and it could be interesting. LaPorta will take a step forward, hopefully.
