08:22 AM ET 03.17 | Illness kept one of the NCAA tournament's possible breakout stars, Jacob Pullen, from practice on Wednesday. The senior guard, who leads the Wildcats in scoring with 19.5 points per game, came down ill Wednesday morning and spent the afternoon in his room at the team hotel. Kansas State officials were reluctant to release details about his illness, but said they expected him to recover in time to play against Utah State Thursday. ... When pressed about Pullen's status, teammates suggested he was suffering from food poisoning. "It was from something he ate last night, a cheeseburger or something like that," said sophomore Jordan Henriquez-Roberts. "But he's going to be all right and he's going to go tomorrow. I know Jake ... he's going to give his all tomorrow whether he's 100 percent or not."

Just hope somebody feeds him some cheeseburgers the night before they play my Bux. Yes I am looking ahead, but after you all see Ohio St play you will know from where my optimism springs.

If it's food poisoning, don't expect much from him today. Leaves a person pretty weak for a day or three. He didn't just stay in his hotel room, he stayed in his hotel room, restroom. On the commode with his head over the tub. YUK.

Cheeseburger was so bad, it affected the photo for the thread (written at 8:47a.m. - for when they actually get something up there).

Exactly Papa - don't know which end gets the priority, so you hope the tub is close by!!

Cheeseburgers always bother me the next couple of days when I eat one and wash it down with a couple of gallons of beer!

Sounds like he made the mistake of trying the Jalapeno six dollar cheese burger at Carls jr.

If ya go there remember to keep a think novel or Sunday paper near the toilet, you'll be sitting on your throne the rest of the day.

He just missed practice. Give him an IV and he will be fine.

You know these burger things are bad for players...I still cannot get over Troy Smith and the In-n-out burger scandal!

I would say someone reached into the SEC bag of tricks and intentionally fed this young man a tainted burger hoping that he would miss the upcoming game.
