08:20 AM ET 03.18 | Gophers fans may be on the verge of not knowing what to make of Tubby Smith's pronouncements. Smith said he hasn't been contacted by Arkansas about their coaching opening. He said he is sick and tired of rumors that have him leaving Minnesota to go to different schools. However, despite the fact Smith doesn't have any plans to move, he said he would listen to Arkansas if they called. Gophers athletic director Joel Maturi said nobody from Arkansas has called for permission to talk to Smith, but he added that most athletic directors don't extend that courtesy any more. Smith did say Arkansas is building a modern basketball building that will be completed in 16 months.

WPS, better strick while the iron is hot, it's getting hotter. Louisville might be in the mix now, and Tubby would jump at the chance to go to our lil brother, he couldn't handle big bro, but he would like that one, and a lot more money.

Nah, they want Mike Anderson...but Missouri looked bad last night.

Better be getting on the phone. I still think he will stay put though.

You did not look very stout last night Colonel. btw, you suggested with King Football that I was ducking the Tressel thing becuz I had not been on the fn boards for 10 days or so. I did not avoid anything. I started a job in Dallas on March 7 and was down there for 10 days. employer would not take kindly to me hanging on FN all morning. By time I could get to FN it was 8 at night and you guys were long gone.

Employers tend to frown on that type of thing!

If they only knew how full of "it" we were, they might change their mi....oh never mind! LOL.

That surprises me. I figured he would scream into the phone "I'm not listening! La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, can't hear you!"

Word here in Fayetteville is that there is "mutual interest" between Anderson and Arky. From everything I hear, Anderson if #1 on our wish list, with Buzz Alderson as #2. Sources also say Alserson's camp has already committed to taking the job if it falls to him, so even if Tubby is #3 (I think he's 5th on our list), he won't get the opportunity.

Don't forget that Tubby still hasn't signed his contract extension. Sounds to me like he's name-dropping to get leverage in a contract negotiation.

I noticed that...but I thought it was directed at the mods! They couldn't be giving a bunch of nice guys like us the bird!

Morning, Colonol....your cats give you a heart attack last night?? Princeton is a TOUGH TOUGH draw. I remember when Arky went to the national championship game in 1995, we started w// a 1 point win over Princeton.....

Hey BB9, what are your thoughts on the Vest stretching the suspension to 5 games? I think it's a smart move....preemptive stike that maybe the NCAAA will apprecite plus "same crime, same time" logic of being equaled to the players.

Is this enough for the Buckeye faithful to be happy/supportive of Tressle??

QUOTE(#17):

WPS I knew that it would be a slow deliberate game, they play that way, plus some our guys had the NCAA tourney jitters, normal, just have to work through it, now onward and upward to bigger things.

WVA ought to be a battle......I saw a stat that Huggins is 8-1 against Calapari. I know that doesn't mean **** for this game, but I was surprised by that stat.

It's Buzz Williams. Not sure about the basketball facility either. We are building a new football one now and know plans exist just yet for basketball. Tubby is a big name but I am very mixed about him.

It's Jake, but you know that. Good luck with the new gig!
