09:28 AM ET 03.20 | Carmelo Anthony was not pouting at Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni or his teammates. He was not ticked he took just 12 shots in Detroit Friday night. According to people familiar with the situation, Anthony refused to talk to the media and bolted for the team bus because of his anger at the referees not calling a foul on Chris Wilcox on his potential game-tying finger roll with 36 seconds left. Anthony didn't want to potentially incur a fine. TV replays showed that Anthony was touched on the arm by Wilcox on the missed layup -- at least Anthony and the coaching staff agreed on something.

some calls you get, some calls you don't. THe fact that you needed a finger roll to tie the game against the Piston on proves how bad you guys playde. NExt time, put sorry teams away early

Hey, if the team played an iota of defense, it would've been irrelevantI'm tired of all these players whining about foul calls.

most of those players that "whines" a lot are those who don't play defense

Man, as a Nuggets fan, I LOVE THAT MELO LEFT!!!! Denver has a youth movement and more importantly, players that play defense.

QUOTE(#10):

It's the freaking NY Post. They're actually protecting their superstar Melo and not say anything bad about him. The truth is that they suck, not because of their offense, but their non-existent defense. Call me a hater again NY but I'm going to tell you the truth and it's suppose to be for your own good. You need to fire Dumbtonie at the end of the season. I've said it the first time you guys got Dumbtonie. He will never get you over the top w/ his no defense game plan. Keep loving him NY...

You know what, it is good to see the the stars being upset over a lost. Even if they don't understnad why they lost. This is a start for recovery...

Excuses, excuses. Maybe if Carmelo hadn't gone 2 for 12 in the previous 36 minutes, the last 36 seconds wouldn't have been an issue.
