09:40 AM ET 03.20 | The likelihood that No. 3 hitter Chase Utley is going to miss the season with that knee injury that threatens his career has the Phillies in full panic mode and ready to make a pitch for the Rangers' disgruntled Michael Young. If the Neftali Feliz-to-starter dalliance is abandoned, as expected, and he returns to the closer role, the Rangers might prefer the cheaper Kyle Kendrick over Joe Blanton, who is more suited to the NL.

Lol....was just going to say that, but don't forget boston as well.....We're now a club.....or maybe we're the Axis

"W's" Evil Axis. Yanks,Sox and Phillies.

Phils have no salary flexibility. Michael Young will not be a Philly without being able to get rid of Ibanez's contract. And no one is taking Ibanez.

Its funny but a couple years ago, I never thought a statement like that was possible.

It would be pretty funny if they couldn't score any runs for that pitching staff.

Then get ready to laugh all season.

Get real. We're still Philly???hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. We have a couple dozen Series title to go before we can acquire that sense of entitlement that Yankees fans seem to be born with.

Better get this done. Not only is the Utley injury a huge problem but J-Roll hasn't exactly been a picture of health the last couple years.

I agree that someone is missing something about Young's degraded defensive skills.

Kendrick is cheap for a reason. But a pretty good trade for the aging Young, whose defense is comparable to that of a life-like cardboard cutout.

thanks for giving life-like cardboard cutouts a bad name ...

Young would really help, but he costs a fortune. They already have too high a payroll. Try trading with the Astros again, ha ha.
