Reid would trade Kolb within NFC East

08:06 AM ET 03.21 | One of this offseason's trending trade topics would likely be even more interesting with a resolved labor dispute, but Kevin Kolb still seems likely to move. Expect Kolb to be traded eventually. Andy Reid is following the same pattern he did a year ago with Donovan McNabb, allowing word to get out about a possible trade. By floating the idea now while league business is suspended, the thinking is that the value of Kolb will only increase as teams get more antsy about landing a starting quarterback and the competition for his services grows. Expect the Eagles to take the best offer; they dealt McNabb within the division and are not afraid, we hear, about potentially facing Kolb as an opponent.

He should, because that worked so well for him the last time.

It's a good idea to generate some buzz on the guy even if they don't intend to let him go. Somebody might come in with an offer they can't refuse.

We need a QB in BIG D. What would it take to get Kolb?

March 21, 2011  08:10 AM ET

Kolb is a non-factor. who ever takes him will be sorry.

This is true.

Kolb is still better than a lot of backups so all this nonsense talk is just that.

Really? I'm far from being a Romo guy but I'd keep him over getting Kolb. He hasn't proven anything. At least with Romo they have a chance, with Kolb...eh...not.

Romo > Kolb.

You really want to trade your proven back-up caliber QB for a potential back-up caliber QB?

He's an upgrade over Delhomme or Wallace. Kolb should pack for Cleveland.

Why would Cleveland trade for a backup, notwithstanding that the Eagles would not get what they are looking for if Kolb is being considered for a backup roll.

Hell yeah he would... Why not?

But who wants him, again?

They should send him to Washington when they let go of McNabb.

So Dan Snyder's playpen is now becoming home to wayward Eagles QB's? LOL!

Nah, we want Tim Tebow, so he can be our new fullback.
