Braves hoping to move Kawakami

08:14 AM ET 03.22 | These are somewhat trying days for Kenshin Kawakami. Kawakami is still attempting to ignore the fact the Braves are looking to trade him. Instead, the Japanese right-hander has remained focused on preparing for the upcoming season without having any idea where he might be pitching. ... Still not fully confident in the slider he attempted to develop after he won just one of 11 decisions and was dropped from Atlanta's rotation last year, Kawakami threw a steady diet of curveballs while allowing the Mets three runs -- one earned -- and three hits in three innings Monday afternoon. Kawakami has allowed two earned runs through his first eight innings. The Braves are still hoping he draws interest from another club willing to trade for him and pay a respectable portion of the $6.77 million he is owed this year.

QUOTE(#1):

In all fairness, he did pitch well against the Mets which I'm sure a lot of pitchers will be doing this year.

No one fed you, troll. Go back under the rock from whence you came ;)

I hope some team is dumb enough to give us some sunflower seeds for him.

I doubt he'll be moved since nobody will take him.

Thank God this is the last year on his contract and he can be on his way back to Japan.

Please God let us trade this guy. He rly could be a good 4th or 5th starter for some teams. He did win ROY and the Eiji Sawamura Award (best pitcher in the Japanese league) in '04 (keep Japan in your prayers!). We are definitely going to have to cover some of the contract though.
