Time for the Wizards to move Blatche

08:08 AM ET 03.24 | The Andray Blatche era has lasted nearly six years, as the Wizards have waited for the power forward to blossom. They have continued to support Blatche despite his actions that have embarrassed the franchise, rewarded him with two contract extensions and attributed many of his missteps to youthful inexperience. Now, the Wizards should do something else for Blatche: Trade him. It's time for president Ernie Grunfeld to accept that Blatche should fade into Washington's past because he doesn't fit into the future that owner Ted Leonsis envisions. The Wizards should move on without Blatche for their benefit while moving him elsewhere for his, because he clearly needs a fresh start away from the District.

The Wizards should've traded him before the deadline. Wall's talents are being wasted in DC. He has been the savior many saw when he balled in the Bluegrass.

The savior? they have won 17 games and he has been oft injured and has huge turnovers problems and cant shoot....But I guess what they were watching before he got there must have been pretty bad if he is the upgrade...

NO WE will take him LOL! anything that can help the C's and he can put up some numbers....

Head case he is, head case he will remain.
Good luck to the acquirer of this emotionally flawed player.

You mean time to move the whole team except Wall. This team is a horrible team.

The hawks could use Blatche.

Why? They have have the under achieving Smith already...Hell why do they need another underachiever for the same position...The Hawks need a PG (maybe Felton) and a more uptempo offense and someone to slap Smith upside the head and tell him to fulfill his potential...

Smith is underachieving? How so bro?17ppg, 9 rbs, 2 blocks and 1.3 spg?How is that underachieving? He should have been an all star the last 2 years.Point blank they need more size, Hinrich is nice but would fit better with Miami.Felton? The hawks need Steve Nash or a CP3 bro to be relevant.Plus they need size as I mentioned. If anybody is an underachiever on that hawks team it's Marvin Williams...Some #1 pick he has turned out to be....And nobody wants him which makes it even worst.Surely you can get offers for Josh Smith.Plus Crawford is inconsistent this year.If this is a way for him to want an extension? He can't be freaking serious!

He has the potential and skills to be the next Scottie Pippen on offense and defense....But he is settling for being the next Stephan Jackson....AND he has tons more skills than Capt Jack is what im getting at....

Eddie Curry had potential too, Bro.

Didn't even know he was in the league. Guess that's what happen when you're a Wiz.

March 24, 2011  10:55 AM ET

Wouldn't you be a head case if you were playing for the Wiz? Losing all the time can really damage the ego. We become what we repeatedly do

Yeah, you did.....

They need to move Blatche, Grunfeld, and Saunders.

March 24, 2011  01:55 PM ET

absolutely needs to be moved...he is garbage and lazy. All he wants to do is take mid-range jumpers and he doesn't shoot them well at all. Get him out of the District and start playing some of the young guys (Trevor Booker) who at least give 100%. Some of the other guys may not be as talented but they at least will provide good effort to offset
