Neuheisel on hottest seat in the nation

08:20 AM ET 03.24 | Rick Neuheisel announced Wednesday that he's virtually shutting down Kevin Prince, which doesn't help the program's timing. No coach or school has a more critical spring practice than Neuheisel and UCLA. In three seasons at his alma mater, Neuheisel has failed to turn the corner. ... Neuheisel shook up his staff in hopes of better results. San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Johnson was hired to serve as coordinator. Jim Mastro was hired away from Nevada to coach tight ends and to aid in the continued development of the running game, which incorporates elements of the Wolf Pack's "Pistol" scheme. Neuheisel also hired a new defensive coordinator, getting Joe Tresey to leave USF. Will all the changes matter? They'd better in what looks like a weak Pac-12 South, or UCLA likely will be looking for a new coach.

They decided to name their divisions Legendless and Leaderless in honor of the Big10+1+1. That way when they meet in the rose bowl it will make it mess better.

DC, I do get a kick out of the picture. I can also see why Rick has the hottest seat in the nation. :-)

Van, it does appears to be a lopsided conference, but no more lopsided than the SEC East!!!

DC, like I commented to Van, the 12 PAC South appears to be weak, but compare it top to bottom to the SEC East.

Except for last year, (and that is an important distinction), I don't see the south as being significantly worse than the north year in and year out. 1-2 top teams, 2-3 mid teams and 1-2 bottom teams in both divisions...depending on how Utah makes the transition...but they weren't even as good this year in the MWC as they have been in the past. And Colorado stunk in the Bi 12(-2). I don't live on the left coast nor follow it as close as you do. Am I missing something?

You seem to be right on. IMO Utah will be the telling factor in the South and Washington in the North.
