But that seems to be only a matter of time with one-third of 32 teams possibly seeking a quarterback upgrade, including three of four teams in the NFC West. Question is, what is the blue-book value for the 26-year-old Kolb? [Andy] Reid compared Kolb to Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, the former Green Bay Packers backup Reid coached when then Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren was seeking a starter in 2001. "I know Kevin is a quarterback who can win a championship," Reid said. ... So what's going on [with Seattle]? Any conversation with the Eagles? "There's no conversation going on," Carroll said. Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt was similarly careful when asked about Kolb. "To be honest with you, he is a player that is under contract with another team," Whisenhunt said.

Kolb is no Mike Vick, I seriously doubt it that the Eagles will get a flood of offers. Maybe for the Bengals, but not the Eagles.

Yeah, but I'd guess they'll get a 1st for him. Too many teams need a starting quarterback, even a mediocre one, a term which suits Kolb pretty well. We know he's not a total bust, and he's ready to drive off the lot. You can't say that about any draft pick.

Teams need a starter, and they need one NOW, or whenever the season starts. Supply and demand. Until they start making cheap quarterbacks in Korea, the price will remain excessive.

With a qb rating of 76 and more picks than td's? I don't think dumbest owner is THAT dumb.
