Tyron Smith gaining momentum as pick in Dallas

08:04 AM ET 03.28 | So much for Prince Amukamara? During a recent gathering of projections, Tyron Smith has gained a considerable amount of momentum. In mock drafts compiled since March 16, Smith has overtaken Amukamara as the favorite to land in Dallas. The 6-foot-5, 315 pound offensive tackle from USC, who many consider to be the top blocker in this class, is scheduled to be one of the 30 players the Cowboys interview before the draft on April 28. The dramatic change from Amukamara's name being chosen across the board is peculiar because it doesn't appear that the defensive back has done much since early March to warrant a rise or fall in his stock.

Teams are blowing more smoke than the big fires in GA. You cannot trust what they say about their prospective picks.

Caption: Let's see, we need OLs and DBs and maybe some LBs so if I trade my first, second and third pick to move up, maybe I can pick one of 'em hot QBs I keep hearing about or one of those WRs too....

As much as we need DB's, we need OL also. I would be OK with this...

Seems like the more logical pick. However, a "potiential" shutdown CB is tough to pass up. JJ is a piece of crap and for the mos tpart has horrible drafts. Hopefully Garrett will change that.

It's a tough call, both the O-line and the CB's were featured failures for the Boys last season. I'd give keeping Tony Romo upright a slight edge, though.

Why has TNR used the same stock photo for the past 4-5 Cowboys stories?

I agree completely. The O-line needs an upgrade really bad.

Boy's should trade for Tebow (a third?), move him to left tackle and draft a DB.

I'm going to pass on this recommendation.
However, I understand the Patriots could get a bit younger on the O-Line - might I suggest that as a possible avenue you may want to consider...

They ordered extra copies from Walgreens Photo. They got it mixed up with their Christmas card picture, and only got one of their beagle in a Santa hat.

If JJ does not take draft a OT in the first round, then he should take a QB because they will be needing them. Ya can't fix everything at once, but until that OL ( guards a problem too ) gets fixed, he is just wasting his money on Romo and his running backs.
