08:17 AM ET 03.28 | Hartford native Marcus Camby will play a role in this season's Final Four, too. John Calipari landed him. Jim Calhoun fumed. And any chance they'd ever be friends was good and over. Now the rival coaches will meet years later with everything at stake. Calipari is at Kentucky now, but part of what will fire up the Wildcats' Final Four game against UConn on Saturday can be traced back a couple of decades. "[Our relationship] is fine," Calipari said Sunday after UK put together a brilliant 76-69 victory over North Carolina to win the East Region. "Look, I respect him and what he does. We don't send cards to each other. [But] if I see him on the road, [it's,] 'Hey, man, how are you doing?' He's a Hall of Famer."

Colonel, did you see the documentary on Jerry Tarkanian? Kentucky was mentioned. Tarkanian said that the NCAA was so pissed off at Kentucky for recruiting violations that they slam dunked Cleveland State! I laughed my arse off. Signified what we've been talking about regarding the schools that have "influence" get away with things while those without get taken to the woodshed.

Tark was anything but clean...but he did receive a pretty large check from the NCAA.

Thought you would fannmail me your logo. Please do as my anti-virus software will not let me go to any site referencing the SEC :)
As for the game, let me say couple things. First eff u to the selection committee. I said at the start of this thing. Wow you are the #1 seed overall so let's reward you with Syracuse, North Carolina and Kentucky. Meanwhile you got **** like Duke, Pitt and Kansas losing to **** teams. Yes I am bitter.
Next point...props to Sir Charles and Kenny who said Ohio St would have trouble with a team that featured "long, lean guards". They were right. I don't know if Ky will win it all but they were the perfect team to defeat Ohio St.
Next point ...Thad what were you thinking? Dieble hits the 3 to tie it with 20 seconds and we don't call timeout??????????? I have no problem with not calling time out when you scored with 5.4 seconds to go becuz studies have shown that you have a better chance of scoring on a "helter skelter" play than a set up play, the idea being you don't give the other team a chance to set up a 5 second defense on you. But why didn't Thad call timeout to set his defense??? Particularly by putting Dallas Lauderdale into the game for help in the middle and rebounding (if you missed the shot). Coaching lapse by Thad.
Last point, you won the game okay. But I believe if we played you 10 times we would prevail 7 out of 10. I do believe we are better but we cetainly were not better Friday and in the end that is all that counts.
12-0 deal with it…
