Bush may be back, but Saints still thinking RB

08:04 AM ET 03.28 | A return to the Saints is not out of the question for Reggie Bush. Saints head coach Sean Payton wouldn't go as far as to say having Bush back in New Orleans next season is a sure thing -- Bush will have to take a significant pay cut to return. Payton did indicate that he thinks the two sides can work out a deal and expects Bush to be a part of the team. With Pierre Thomas signing an extension earlier this offseason and Chris Ivory expected back, the Saints would have a potentially solid three-man rotation at running back. Our sources are convinced, however, that New Orleans will spend a draft pick, perhaps an early one, on a running back.

If the Saints are still thinking RB, Bush will probably come back at a reduced rate.

That Bush paycheck is gonna be getting a Brazilian.

Not a bad Idea, Bush has been getting banged up a lot.

I agree....he will definitly help them but not at the amount of money he was getting before

He's turning into a 3rd down, change of pace kind of back. He can do something special once in a while, but he's not a main feature to the offense.

Awesome player, but always hurt. Not worth that type of money and needs to take a cut.

Sadly, some team out there will overpay him.

Again...

Saints should trade for Tebow and make him the feature back.

You can only find it on triple-X sites by searching for "retro" or "classic."

At least the Raiders won't be making that mistake [this time]. Ah heck, maybe Al is that drunk off of Bush's speed.

Come to North texas, bro... plenty of gals. Many with no teeth and grateful for any and all attention. And (per the subject line) abounding in merkin...

Comeback? When did he ever establish himself as a premier player in the NFL?

March 28, 2011  09:50 AM ET

Give Reggie Bush credit. He must really love the game because he made enough money in college that he never had to work again.

Even when hes not banged up he sucks. The guy thinks hes still playing against Wash St and other cream puffs the way he jukes around in the backfield.

Overated player!! It's time for him to get a Slap-Down!If he played as good as he thinks he is, he might be a decent 3rd down back.
