Fleury may prefer Conn Smythe over Hart

Fleury may prefer Stanley Cup over Hart, you morons.

Serious, who writes these things up? Most players would forgo any individual award for a championship. I wouldn't want on my team a guy who thinks that whoever wins the Hart matters more than whoever wins the Cup.

the tagline says he would prefer Conn Smythe over Hart - meaning he would be the MVP of the playoffs, and usually awarded to a player on the Cup winning team ... so yes, I am sure Fleury would much prefer another Cup to the Hart.

that being said - Bylsma makes a good point, Fleury should be considered for the Hart, especially of late.

Once the Pens get their O sorted out they will be really scary if the D corp and Fleury remain this committed to defense.

Need I remind you that in some cases, the Conn Smythe winner didn't play for the Cup champion? Bylsma obviously seems to imply that the playoff MVP always plays for the winning team. I find that somewhat shortsighted and narrow minded.

What a joke. I'm all for promoting guys on your team for major awards, but make it realistic at least.

Remember in October when they had the stakes lit to run this kid out of town? He was the one thing holding them back and Pitt had to make a change in goal to keep moving forward. Now he's a potential MVP? Ha. Save it. Crosby carried this team for the first 2 months of the season, then Fleury re-discovered how to get in front of the puck. You can't take 2 months off and still be MVP.

It was only a month. But what a bad month it was.

This kind of stuff is just page-filler nonsense. Most accurate statement is that the Pens have been wracked with injuries all year, the controversy over Cooke doesn't help a thing and yet they are playing great right now and challenging for the Conference as we head into the last few games. I'm not a Pens fan but they ought to feel pretty good about themselves right now. And, as for this meaningless trivial stuff......pffffft!
