It appears as if Jevon Kearse's reduced playing time is about to be reduced even more. All indications yesterday were that the Eagles' highest-paid defensive lineman will not play Sunday when the Eagles face the winless Dolphins. Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson did not hesitate when asked who would start at left defensive end against the Dolphins. "Juqua Thomas," he said.

the "freak" never should have left the titans. he's been a shell of himself since

The practice squad will handle this game for the Eagles.Let all the starters walk the sideline with clipboards.

What's happened to The Freak? We see this so often: free agent star signs big bucks contract with another team, then blows. Makes you wonder if coaches really do matter.

As much as I'd like to see the Dolphins go 0-16, it'd be funny if they shut out the Eagles.

It's all good. The man is still recovering from a serious injury like Donovan. It's harder for a defensive end to play while still recovering than a QB because the DE needs that knee to push off and push back the O line. Give him time. Next year he'll be back. Believe that!!!

Bet the Eagles would like a mulligan on this one.

Eagles need to bench Andy Reid

aaaHHHHHHHHHHH Freak Out! He sucks...should have stayed a Titan...

It's about time.

November 16, 2007  02:04 PM ET

nothing new here............. more money = less play

November 16, 2007  02:40 PM ET

That's a shame. Kearse was definitely a BEAST with Tennessee. Let's hope it's just a matter of him recovering from his surgery. As a Cowboy fan, I can't stand the Eagles. But I do recognize talent, and he has it when healthy.

November 16, 2007  04:06 PM ET

It not the he should have stayed in Tenn ITs the fact hes constantly getting hurt

November 16, 2007  04:56 PM ET

He has had some success with the Eagles. I remember when they put him on Vick duty in the playoffs. Seems like ages ago...

I know he got injured. Is he really hurt, or just not caring since he got paid? Last two times we played him, he was like non existent on the field.

What happened to this guy?

November 19, 2007  07:51 AM ET

Actually...the Eagles stupidly let the current Raider DE Burgess go...and look what a beast he is for them. In that Vick game a few years back...he was the real game changer........oh well..........I've been thinking about falling off my Eagles bandwagon...it was a nice run for the last 15 years....but....the fans are just miserable SOB's. I mean...what type of people throw snowballs at Santa?

This time will give JK time to heal appropriately and he will be back in amazing shape ripping it on another squad. The money won't be as much the concern because he has all the Eagles cash and is a smart man. He will make sure he's in the right system and take care of business next year. It ain't ova.....
