08:07 AM ET 03.30 | Juventus could offer Roberto Mancini a quick return to football if the Manchester City boss finishes the season empty-handed. The Italian is on Juve's shortlist to take charge next season, along with Napoli's Walter Mazzari and Zenit St. Petersburg manager Luciano Spalletti. City currently lead Tottenham in the race for fourth place but failure to hold on to the Champions League spot is likely to see Mancini axed.

the pool of good to great Italian managers worthy to manage Juventus right now is pretty small. Especially given they are going to want to make a splash their 1st year in the new stadium ie; get back into Champions League.

So about last night....
......
..... yeah.
I just want to say, I don't think FSC even sent their own TV crew, the damn Paraguayan crest kept popping up every time the feed was lost.
Can we please send FSC into oblivion now? Even if they carry the EPL?

Mancini will win as much at Juventus as he did at Man City.

I dunno if that's an insult or a compliment... they did have their best year ever last year....

It's neither. It's a trend and a fact. Juventus will improve under Mancini but stay out of the top 2 spots. Considering Serie A is losing it's 4th CL spot next season, finishing top 3 will become even more important.

For what Juve needs right now, as long as it gets them into the Champions League the following year, that's all that will matter for them. I expect them to be a major player in the transfer market following the Euros.

Looking at some online "official" top 10's lists of GOAT Footballers, I realize how many ignorant people are out there (as if I didn't already).
Here's a sample top 10 list GOAT Football:
1) Pele
2) Christiano Ronaldo
3) Fat Ronaldo
4) Maradona
5) Zidane
6) Ronaldinho
7) Zico
8) Jari Litmanen (WTF, ????????????????????????)
9) Gheorghe Hagi
10) Messi
The most frequently commented complaint was, why is C. Ronaldo above Messi?

Yes, they will target players like Christian Poulson and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Only problem is they won't get players like Schweinsteiger.

I was actually surprised ESPN carried the Germany-Australia game. Remind me again why the US favors the English model so much? Bayern, where was the match held at yesterday? I liked how that stadium is structured.

Juve needs Zinadine Zidane... unfortunately there is no such player these days.
Did anyone miss the video of him embarassing that goalie in a recent training session? He apologized afterwards...

Answer: He's performed at World Class level at two clubs. His strike numbers are much better in La Liga than EPL, so I'm not sure what that says about La Liga or what it doesn't say about EPL.

English model of what? Stadium? Football style?

True, but I found it ironic no one mentioned C. Ronaldo being above Maradona.

Either Chandler or Lichaj need to learn to play on the left side.... if that happened we would be set for a while. Ream is way better then anyone else we have at distributing the ball out of the back.
