Locker shows continued improvement at pro day

07:59 AM ET 03.31 | To many, passing the eye test is as important for Jake Locker as the accuracy test. He passed very well. Thirty-eight of the 40 passes he threw were caught by his receivers, who were DeAndre Goodwin, Dorson Boyce and Austin Sylvester. But counting completions isn't nearly as important as how he threw the ball, and NFL talent evaluators on-hand used the term "fluid" to describe his footwork and throwing motion. Locker's passing from the pocket has been one of the biggest questions in evaluating Locker's NFL prospects, and while one workout without any defense isn't going to cause anyone to rewrite their scouting report, the most important thing is the progress Locker has showed over this postseason, pre-draft analysis. He has showed steady improvement, first from the Senior Bowl to the NFL scouting combine in late February and now here at the end of March.

He's a good QB, Buffalo should think about drafting him at 3, at least he doesn't have the baggage.

And none of it really matters til we can actually see any of them play in the NFL. Who knows how long that might be.

I wounder what he puts his stuff in when he's on the field? And dude will go quick in the draft.

Didn't we have a thread yesterday that said Locker wasn't all he was cracked up to be?

Doesn't seem to have an NFL name to me.

We've had Jake the Snake, and Jake the Fake. If his performance truly moves the earth, we could have Jake the Quake.

Until he has an NFL passrusher in his face and a bunch of NFL DBs baiting him into throwing a dumb pass under pressure, we won't know what he's got. Just like all the rest of 'em. Roll the dice and take your chances.

A smart team will take him, and I bet he turns out better than Newton.
