Well, he would restore a run oriented offense at Nebraska, and that's not a bad thing. He just needs one hell of a defensive coordinator that can resurrect the Blackshirts D.
Mason wouldn't be that bad at Nebraska, as long as he puts a good staff around him.

Just the kind of short-, white-haired mediocre coach YOU DONT NEED. This guy has really done nothing at MINN. Check his record.

He use to coach at Kansas back in the early - mid 90's. He's not the answer. We want Bo!

He's not real good. Not that I care, it better when Huskers are irrelevant.

If they were smart, they'd hire Brian Kelly from Cinci or make a real hard run at Tuberville. But they won't.

The spread is the offense of the future and Nebraska has to get on board. Plodding, "three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-astro-turf'" teams are obsolete. NEB needs an innovative offensive-minded coach like Chris Petersen.

Why didn't they just make Bo what's his face the freak'n coach when they booted the other what's his face off to Ohio. He is a defensive minded coach anyways and the Huskers need that more than anything.

Pellini would be the best choice. I cannot see Les leaving LSU so, Pellini might as well leave for a coaching gig like Nebraska.

There you go, hire a recently fired, perennial 5-6 coach from the Big Ten to coach your team. Geez.

J Hova..I like Pelini as well...
Mason would be a study in mediocrity at BEST....worst thing Nebraska could do is let Osborne be involved in this. I understand WHY they did...but doesn't make it right. Huskers need to do same thing Michigan will need too, break from past and step out a little.

It will be Pellini's job to take.
Right now all signs point to him. I've been told that over the last 3 weeks several calls have been placed to LSU, from NU offices.
I have no doubt that there are other coaches being contacted to be interviewed, but Pellini has the ambition and is a fiery head coach that is needed to get this program turned around.

He recruited Marion Barber and Lawrence Maroney and had them both playing at the same time at Minnesota. If he can get that kind of player to play there that is saying something.
Mason had mildly competitive teams at Minn. If he has the facilities and the name of Nebraska behind him he is even better. Nebraska needs to go back to the kind of football that made them famous. Callahan absolutely destroyed that program.

Wow. Pellini is a good choice too. He should have gotten the job in the first place when Solich was fired.
Michigan is also Les Miles job to take. He's from there, played there, coached there and his family is all up there. I like Lloyd Carr, but agree it is time for him to go. He has put in about 30 years there in one form or another, has 7 Big Ten titles, a national championship. Solid winning percentage and 6-6 record against OSU.
LSU could win the NC...and lose Miles and Pellini. wow.
Either Pellini or Mason is a good choice for the Big Red.
