08:08 AM ET 03.31 | The Orlando Magic may be without Chris Duhon for some time. Duhon's injury has prompted team officials to discuss the possibility of signing another point guard, coach Stan Van Gundy said. Duhon, who injured his right thumb on Monday, sat out Wednesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena. The Magic plan to have their team orthopedist and a hand specialist examine Duhon, who said he will receive an X-ray and an MRI on Thursday. "It's not going to be anything where he'll be back soon, that's for sure," Van Gundy said. Van Gundy said that he and Magic president of basketball operations Otis Smith have talked about adding another player to the roster. Not only is Duhon out, but backup shooting guard J.J. Redick now has missed 10 consecutive games with a strained muscle in his lower abdomen.

QUOTE(#5):

It's sad when you think you need a backup for your 3rd string point guard. It says that you don't have much faith in your backup point guard (Arenas).I'm more concerned about Reddick and Q-Rich being hurt. They are more critical than the 3rd string PG.

Yeah I agree and knowing that they took on Arena's massive contract it's a crying shame the guy looks like he's walking on eggshells or no confidence to take a shot a la Starbury when he went to Boston mid-season that year.

Hopefully the Magic get both Reddick and the "Human Roulette" aka Q-Rich in time for the play-offs.

stats please?

If you've reached a point where Chris freakin' Duhon is an integral part of your rotation, you've screwed up somewhere. I don't care what the stats say, he's a wasted roster spot.

Please tell me, where is he complaining? He is simply making a statement about an apparent injury to his plyaer. What are you talking about?

QUOTE(#21):

If you had the choice between Duhon or Arenas to back up your PG who would you use?

Arenas. He's at least capable of contributing the occasional big shot or erupting for a big game. Duhon is a career backup that's never been any more than he is right now.

Duhon is still in the NBA? I guess I can't see him sitting on the bench because Stan Van's fat gut is in the way
