UH, DUH, Shaq has been on the decline since he left L.A. He's washed up and needs to retire.

Is Miami not one of the worst teams in the league right now and is he not their highest paid player?

I think that last title the one that basically flipped Kobe and the Lakers the bird has satisfied him and he's no longer motivated.

Wade needs to be careful. He could lob a call in Kobe's direction if he wants to know what happens when a teammate starts to question his work ethic and motivation.

Shaq is just gettin his checks. He won his title in Miami.

Shaq was a great player in his prime. He was THE dominant force in the NBA, but now he's just fat and slow.

No one is surprised here. This was Kobe's problem in L.A. Shaq shows up when he wants to. He got his title to "show" the Lakers and now he's just riding it for the money. He's gonna need every dime after his divorce is finalized. His wife's about to team up with the genious Juanita Jordan for this one.

Shaq's not doing so bad this year by the numbers though. ppg14.6, rpg 6.8, blocks 1.8 and shooting percentage .548. Compare that to the "great" tim duncan:16.8ppg, rpg 9.1, blocks 2.2 and shoting percentage .500... so if the great duncan is just barely outdoing shaq statwise maybe everyone should lay of shaq a bit. He just isn't young enough to cary a team of nobodies anymore. Hell, even Kobe has a better surrounding cast than the heat minus wade.

He's a 7 footer that is averaging 6 rebounds per game. That is pathetic. Plus, I believe Duncan's team is winning and he helps other players be better, I don't think Shaq is helping anyone play better.

He is just getting old

Shaq with a solid supporting cast still gets you a championship. Shaq with Rickie Davis and Afernee Hardaway gets you a headache.

Shaq isn't slacking. He's getting old; but if you asked any player in the league, he'd tell you in a heartbeat that he'd rather play with Shaq than play against him. He isn't going to put up 20 and 10 every night, but he's still capable of dominating at any time. He also isn't in ithe kind of shape he will be in February. Stay tuned haters.

Wade should be thanking Shaq for his ring because he would not have gotten it without him.

Maybe it's too early for me to be reading this morning and I misread it, but the only thing that blew my off my feet is that Udonis Haslem is a captain! Am I the only one who laughed at this?!

Shaq is not slacking. It's just age catching up to his game and his body.

Why laugh at Haslem being a captain? He's undersized for his position and has had to fight and scrap for everything he has. You don't necessarily make your best players captains, but the ones you trust to lead and I am sure that at the very least, Haslem leads by example each and every practice. What's to laugh at?

How long before Riley resigns again???

are you guys morons..... have u been watching heat games. Hes been getting fouls all the time and not even get a chance to play . Before half time hes been getting 3 fould at least in 4 of 7 games this year and not have been able to play that long. In one game he had 3 fould before half-life he aint trying and he needs to be traded back to LA.

Kobe has been waiving his clause for every team cause he wants to come to miami and play with Wade.

L.A. wouldn't be stupid enough to except shaq and his fat a-s back.They already got rid of the slacker.He gets paid that much and he can't even keep himself in shape.Talk about a crook.I'm happy for shaq and the heat they won the big one but that was 2 yrs ago and they dont stand a chance with him like this.The honeymoon is over.Now you just have a big lump of clay!He is getting in foul trouble because he cant move his body anymore so he is using his hands more.The lazy mans defense!The foul trouble goes hand in hand with being out of shape!
