08:20 AM ET 03.31 | Ducks All-Star goalie Jonas Hiller has appeared in only two games since Feb. 2, and it seems there's no return on the near horizon. Hiller said on Wednesday that he's still dealing with some lingering vertigo-related symptoms and was uncertain when he may be fully recovered and able to play in another game. Speaking with a couple of reporters after taking part in the team's morning skate at Scotiabank Saddledome, Hiller said he doesn't plan to put a timetable on a possible return until he is feeling right every day. "Yeah, it's something that's still up and down," Hiller said in his first extended comments since that start. "Some days are better, some days are not so good. I guess it's just going to take its time. ... Hopefully it's going to get better. I kind of like stopped setting myself a timeline or anything because nobody can really tell me how long it's going to take."

Story about Hiller, picture of Getzlaf. Nice going, interns.

That said, the Ducks have a better chance of extending their season with Hiller in nets.

Can't you find a picture of Hiller?

Guess they just did.

Emery is decent enough to help, but I do not think he can carry them to a Cup

March 31, 2011  09:02 AM ET

Hopefully Hiller is back as soon as possible

He just needs to stop watching Hitchcock movies.

Hey guys! Someone started a TD "Basketball is WAY better than hockey". I think we should pay a visit, comment (if necessary) and vote. (I'll also post this in the other stories for today)

Speaking of last night. What were the Wings drinking before the game last night? I want to order a round for the Flyers the next time they play the Pens.

Is it my imagination or does it seem we've had a ton of guys all over the league out for extended periods this year with all kinds of stuff, not just concussions? Hope it will stop soon and we can stop using terms like "lower body injury" as well as concussion. I admit that "vertigo-related symptons" is an unusual one for hockey. Maybe the NBA......but not hockey.

LOL. I'll bet Bylsma is researching that now! I heard on the Detroit radio station today that it's the worst thumping the Wings have had since 1986!

And to the lowly Blues no less.

remember the first ATL home game of season - Pavalec just litterally flopped down with the vertigo/blackout?

I'll steal a line that Jim Gaffigan first used about The Waffle House.

"Denny's is a rest room that serves breakfast"!

There are two of 'em near me that I wouldn't use for housing terrorists.

Once again will plead ignorance to the problems of the mind, but...should he be flying with this condition? I know you're not supposed to fly after conkies, but it seems like Vertigo that's extreme enough to prevent you from doing your job would likely prevent you from flying as well. Or that flying would be ill-advised at least.
