08:01 AM ET 04.01 | Shaun O'Hara, who missed 10 games with the Giants in 2010 due to injury, had a second offseason surgery, reportedly having his left ankle and Achilles cleaned out. Backup center Adam Koets started four games in place of O'Hara but went down at Seattle with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and underwent reconstructive knee surgery. Rich Seubert, moved from left guard to center on a full-time basis for the first time in his career, started six consecutive games at center before moving back to guard for the last two games. In the season finale, Seubert went down with a serious injury. ... With all the health concerns at center, it is no wonder and no secret that Florida's Mike Pouncey, one of the highest-rated center/guard prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, has attracted the interest of the Giants.

This is a good move if he's still available to them.

And no doubt about a dozen other teams.

When your job is to give the ball to Eli, maybe the G-men would be better off with no center at all.

Tha'ts nice, but he is not in the same class with his brother. There is a reason he stayed another year in college. They are looking OT if the two LBs worth a first are gone.

He had to repeat Rocks for Jocks? Basket weaving 1.01?

He'd just snap it between Eli's legs or over his head anyway. Bad snap, incompletion, who cares? A punt's a punt.

The Hoodie will foul up someone's draft board.

He had to retake the final in Music Appreciation. He wasn't appreciative enough the first time.

Heh, heh, heh. Belichick should grow a handlebar moustache in the offseason so he could twirl it like Snideley Whiplash....

Why will the Giants need a center for 2011? There will be no season since the owners have locked out the players and the players have dissolved their union.

My prediction: First two games cancelled. 4 games with replacements. Then, everyone realizes this is silly and they do the CBA with a rookie salary cap, keep the 16-game season, and split the difference on the disputed billion dollars.

Like last time, the 4 replacement-player games count in the standings. After the real games, lots of out-of-condition players rush into game situations and get hurt. Peyton Manning, still wearing bubble-wrap from the Sony ads, survives and leads the Colts to the Superbowl.

Peyton is the only one on the Colts roster that doesn't need bubble wrap.

that replacement b.s. is not going to work this time. barely worked last time and it was a joke.

Giants need to address quite a few concerns.

Don't tell me. Tell the owners. I doubt that there's a fan alive who doesn't agree with you.

New York Football Giants! Hopefully this season will be better!

Those visions of Florida QB's having no idea where the snap was going is still fresh in my mind...

Giants have gotten old and/or hurt in a number of positions. They need to look at a couple free agents in addition to the draft this year to address needs on the offensive line, linebacker, and secondary. And maybe sacrifice a virgin on the 50 yard line to appease the injury gods; although they may not be able to find one, being in New Jersey.
