08:08 AM ET 04.01 | LeBron James has taken his share of lumps this season, including on hard fouls he thinks are a little too hard. "Sometimes it's unfair because of how strong I am," James said. "I can take punishment of course, but at the same time, I just feel like it's unfair sometimes." James spoke on the topic after being fouled by Wizards forward Maurice Evans. On a breakaway, Evans grabbed James around the neck to stop the play. The foul wasn't vicious, but James felt it should have merited a flagrant. After it was ruled a normal foul, he argued with officials and was called for a technical. "I don't know if Mo Evans' intention was to be dirty," James said. "I watch a lot of basketball. I see a lot of basketball every day. Every time someone gets grabbed around the neck, it's an automatic flagrant foul. If I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong. But it seems like every time I get hit hard or a hard foul, and all I get is two shots and they take the ball out."

Now we know how the refs truly feel about LBJ. We already saw one attack Dominique the other night. They're animals... just outta control.

Yeah, but D-How knocks people out with those dangerous elbows. I'm glad I'm short, he would just fan my hair.

Lebron is 100% correct. And the same should be said for Dwight. If you grab a player at anytime it should be a flagrant foul because you are making a flagrant attempt to foul him. Grabbing his jersey is a flagrant foul. These things are not being called properly.

You can't grab someone and be playing the ball at the same time. It is impossible. If your intention is to block his shot you would not be in a grabbing motion. If you are trying to steal his dribble, you wouldn't be in a grabbing motion. If you are trying to tie him up. You don't grab him for that either.

Fundamental defense teaches you to move your feet.

If you reach out a grab a player streaking to the goal for a layup without ever touching the ball that should be a flagrant foul. PERIOD

Why doesn't stern just make defenders not be able to move when lbj has the ball....then he wouldn't ruin any of his nailsMan, could you all imagine if he played in the 80's?I mean he would have a bullseye on his back so big that he would've likely never finished a game.

Brilliant idea... or better yet.. just don't allow any other player on the same end of the court when LBNique has the ball

What a puzzzzy this clown is. He practically has his diaper changed and his bottle warmed by the refs before every game. And this is how he rewards them for all the ridiculous fantasy calls they throw his way? By whining like a spoiled brat that wants more candy?

His body might be big.. but his heart and cajones are pebbles.

The biased way the refs call the fouls and their inconsistency is the most annoying thing about the NBA.

Especially when you consider that most of that bias is sent LBNiques way.

Good morning MMA... and good morning to all you good people!

Nothing like a whiny-**** LBNique thread to kick off the weekend!

I know for a fact that Lebron is in like the top 7-8 in FTA per game. I think he is probably getting plenty.

And this coming from a Pierce fan. One of the premier floppers in the NBA. Lebron plays the game the right way, he doesn't throw gang signs to the opponents when he gets fouled like Pierce does.

He takes his lumps and keeps it moving.

I told you people after the Cavs game this was going to happen. You saw how the commentators were laughing it up as the Heat players were getting hacked. That's not basketball, that's hockey. If all you have to do is send a scrub into a game and take out a star player why don't ever team use that strategy?

I don't pay my money to watch hockey. I want to see basketball.

But on the topic of the level that fouls are called it is tough to say. They have always been called pretty inconsistently.
