09:26 AM ET 04.02 | John Elway, a Hall of Fame quarterback who led the Denver Broncos to two Super Bowl titles in the late 1990s, isn't certain the team has a franchise signal-caller on its roster. Elway, now the Broncos' executive vice president of football operations, told KKFN-FM that the team, which owns the No. 2 overall pick in this month's draft, is looking closely at quarterbacks, despite the presence of Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow and Brady Quinn, all of whom have started in the NFL.

Does Tim Tebow have AIDS or something? I mean really, why can't he be developed into a good QB? He has the arm, athleticism, leadership skills, and desire to improve. What is the problem here?

He's going to pull a Favre come out of retirement and do it himself!

Don't forget they spent a first round pick on him. I agree with you. Why not give him a couple years to develop?

I am a huge pessimist. I just think Tebow has more talent, ability, and desire than any of the QB's coming out this year.

Ether they know something that we do not, or they are complete tards!

I would vote on the second choice!

I thought he was married? This could get ugly.

I'm leaning towards - all of the above.

Agree. They can be both. And maybe Tebow has flaws even a tard can see.

Most QB's have flaws. They all can't be Peyton, Rodgers, Brees, and Brady.

Think it has a lot to do with his pious nature. Do you want a reverend leading the team? Doesn't bother me but better not get out of line with the reverend in charge. No question about his talent but there is a hidden agenda.

Deja vu, where did I see this before????

April 2, 2011  09:58 AM ET

I seem to remember that picture too.

Did SI just miss an opportunity to put that lame Tim Tebow pic up again?

Actually... I think he is available now. Believe he is divorced.

Why would the Broncos pick Tebow so highly (much higher than any other team would have) if they didn't have plans to groom him to be their QB? It's not like they've given him much of an opportunity to prove himself.

The regime that picked Tebow is gone now. It's possible Elway has yet to fully evaluate Tebow, and is keeping his options open. Or, he HAS evaluated Tebow, and determined he doesn't like what he sees. OR (and this is my personal pick) he is employing a little gamesmanship to get Buffalo to step up to the #2 pick and cough up a 2nd rounder...or another team that wants a QB.

By putting Denver in the QB hunt this season, Elway is making sure his phone rings when the Broncos are on the clock. My guess is he'll want to trade down, not wanting to pay #2 money (whatever that will be on the CBA) for a defender, which is where he's going to go. Orton/Tebow/Quinn will be just fine for a year or two; Lloyd and Royal can catch; a RB can be found anywhere; and this is a strong draft for defense at the top. He can trade down a few notches, save cash, and still get an impact defender for a wretched D.

They already have serviceable QBs. Go pick something else, you idiots.
