No surgery for Bruins goalie

It wasn't the answer Manny Fernandez wanted. more stories like this"No, it wasn't," said the Bruins' injured netminder yesterday, his knee woes making him a spectator for most of this season. "But at least we've reached a decision. We have a plan, and now we'll go from here." The plan, in a nutshell: 1. get back on skates immediately; 2. build up leg strength through on-ice workouts and off-ice rehab; 3. hope for the best. All of that, which Fernandez plans to begin as early as tomorrow in a late-morning workout, is in lieu of surgery. Doctors on Thursday filled Fernandez's left knee with dye for a closer examination, and their recommendation, he said, was to stay the conservative course.

Thomas has earned the starter position anyway. Why oh why did we spend 4 mil on an injured goalie?

I agree. Thomas has earned the right to start, ,however if we can use the 4 million dollar back-up in the playoffs it could be worth it. We should claim Iiya Bryzgalov off waivers!

fernandez was never the answer in goal.Tukka Rask will be the answer we just have to wait.

get ready for the trade..it's coming....hang in there...they are competing for dollars spent on sporting events and goods and they truly are the ugly step child....Cam did not join to be a figurhead....the trade is coming...
