Notre Dame-bound Jamoris Slaughter, a safety for Tucker, remains bullish on the Irish. "I am still fully committed to Notre Dame," said Slaughter, when asked if the worst season in Irish history, coupled with coach Charlie Weis being on the coaching hot seat, has him second-guessing his commitment. "I remember coach Weis telling me before the season started that they are kind of young and they didn't know how it would go. But I didn't expect a season like this." Slaughter, who attended Notre Dame's 38-0 loss to Southern Cal on Oct. 20, likely won't visit the South Bend campus again before national signing day in February.

Weis seemed to be confident going into this year.

"Hey coach, how's the team gonna be?"

"How the hell would I know? I just spend all day coaching these kids. WOuld you expect me to know what we were going to do this year?"

This has been a disastrous year for ND, tarnishing a lot of the mystique that had enveloped the program. Now it just seems to be another college with another football team. It will take years and years of winning - if that - to get even a part back of what's been lost. It's t

It's too bad because, love it or hate it, this hurts all of college football.

ND has been an after thought for a long time!!! Nobody cares but the Media,NBC, and fannation who seems to dig up a ND post every week!!!!

Weis is a trainwreck. Too bad they can't schedule DUKE 12 times next year.

Yayyyy!!! Another useless piece about Our Ladies! This websit, obviously run by ND alums, seems to average about two of those daily. That football program is an embarrassment. Stop with these useless ND stories. Pick any team in the top 25 to write about.

Is this a joke, who cares about ND. They are terrible... and this does not hurt college football it helps it. How many BCS bowls has ND played in and got completely destroyed. They have lost something like 12 straight bowl games. Charlie game plans for the halftime hot dogs and seems to have zero coaching skills. Why hire a guy to lead your team that can not even run one lap around a track. I'm suprised he is not carried onto the field and placed on the side line before games.

Enough of the Irish, religion should play factor into publicity in college football. Give publicity to teams that deserve it
