08:08 AM ET 04.04 | Even his backup is in Joe Flacco's wage class. Flacco expressed disappointment Saturday that the Ravens have decided to wait on a contract extension until next offseason. Flacco, who enters the final year of his contract in 2012, said he he deserves an extension this offseason after quarterbacking the Ravens to playoff wins for three straight seasons. "I think I've established myself," Flacco told The Baltimore Sun before Haruki Nakamura's Japan relief charity event at Ripken Stadium. "If you're not confident with who I am, I'm not sure what [difference] a year is going to make." ... A first-round pick in 2008, Flacco is scheduled to make $4.5 million this season and $4.6 million in 2012. In comparison, the Ravens gave Marc Bulger $3.8 million last season just to be a backup.

Once again, CBA, messes all this up.

He's done so much for them, they need to pay him, but let's see what happens when the lockout ends.

This is true.

Well, the Bulger contract does kind of sound like a slap in the face.

What has he done for them?

They were winning before he got there.

Ok fine, he's a very talented player that has made a good team better.

Flacco is wacko, jacko!

Ozzie will take care of him after a CBA is in place, its not like decent QBs are a dime a dozen.

They will. He's not going to get Manning money, but he'll be happy.

April 4, 2011  08:30 AM ET

He's mediocre and needs to take them to the next level before they will consider giving him a bump in pay.

And he can't say the Ravens didn't try to put the weapons around him... With Bolder, Housh, and Heap, he has targets.

April 4, 2011  08:40 AM ET

I think Jim Zorn ruined him.

April 4, 2011  08:53 AM ET

I bet Flacco doesn't feel love from the Steelers either

April 4, 2011  08:53 AM ET

If they would have played Bulger some, maybe they would have made it to the super bowl. Experience usually wins over youth. They made it to the playoffs three years in a row, but most of the wins weren't because of him. The playoff victories were because he was on a good team, not because he made the team good.
