08:20 AM ET 04.04 | LSU's defense was reportedly strong early, and the offense rallied late in its final spring scrimmage before the April 9 spring game, mostly to the delight of Les Miles. "I like the position we're in, the effort we're getting. This team is doing better. We came off without any further nicks. With four practices left, we're in good position." Miles was complimentary of the quarterbacks, especially senior returning starter Jordan Jefferson, who threw four of the scoring passes. Jarrett Lee had two and Zach Mettenberger one. ... "Mettenberger has a very strong arm, makes a lot of nice throws and is improving," Miiles said. "Jarrett Lee has a very distinct advantage over the time he's been in the system, and he throws the ball very well. Mettenberger has some time. He's taking advantage of his coaching. Currently, it will be Jefferson and Lee, then Mettenberger."

I think Jordan Jefferson is decent and more of a playmaker than Lee.

Lee is horrible, in my view.

Never seen a purple stripped Tiger....much less one that can play college quarterback. But if they want them in Louisiana, the swamp people may want to stuff them and sell them to the tourists.

That should stir LUS up this mornin'.

QUOTE(#17):

From what I hear, it will be JJ.... Hasn't been an open competition like the fans thought... Mett is working with the walkons and 3rd string as of now.. Even though he is still looking good... Miles can tell me JJ and Lee look like the Mannings until he is blue in the face and I wont believe it... We have heard that the last 2 seasons.. Let me see how they react when the bullets start flying.. Will they go revert back to their prior mechanics...Its only spring practice so we will see... I just want the best QB to start no matter who it is... We have the team to win the BS Title... No time to screw @ with the schedule we have... The rest of the team is legit

Has the QB coach been the same guy during JJ's tenure? IF so he should keep his resume up to date.
