So what are they going to do? Fire the whole team?

Problem is, this team has done this for a decade. Let the team full of players slag their way through the season, then work their aces off in the last month or so to earn back their roster spots for the next year. Tough to turn around a franchise when you keep all the same pieces and policies.

What a nightmare. If Dale Tallon isn't the right guy to fix this, and he's gonna get at least three more years to do so, then this franchise will have a long term record of futility that will be unmatched in pro sports.

There's always the Clippers. And the Detroit Lions. But I catch your drift.

This team needs to reshape, rebuild, reform, and re-brand. Tallon is a good start, I still feel that way, but the Panthers need a facelift, bad. And all the other surgeries MJ used to get while they're at it, haha.

Honestly though, the Thrashers and Panthers should both look at changing things up. Not just personnel. Team colours and names. Nobody's ever going to think "Winner" when they see "Thrasher". And the Panthers have been awful for a while - a new team name/colours would be like an "Under New Management" sign we see at restaurants.

Atlanta should rip their colour scheme from the Falcons (the way we see in Pittsburgh) and call themselves whatever (Axemen? not sure if there's lumber down there, but...) and Florida dump the Panthers (Big cats don't work in Fla, apparently) for something to do with the sun or weather I guess. Sun Gods? sketchy to use Gods in name. Florida Sunshine? Cripes, just sell the naming rights to the highest bidder and not have to take some equalization payments from the league, for once, ha.
