QB race heats up at Alabama

08:20 AM ET 04.04 | According to Alabama's statistics, AJ McCarron went 18-for-33 for 189 yards and Phillip Sims went 20-for-30 for 225 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions -- now forget about those numbers as they relate to the Tide's QB race. The final decision of choosing a replacement for two-year starter Greg McElroy, ultimately to be made by coach Nick Saban, isn't expected until preseason practice. Saban immediately addressed the current quarterback situation, but gave little away and discredited the statistics because the format of the scrimmage was not a true game format. "Stats only tell you so much, and that's not how we make our evaluations," Saban said. ... Saban said both players had equal repetitions and equal opportunities to work with the first unit. "I'm really pleased with the quarterback play," Saban said.

Not much for the threads today, the BB ones I for sure shake my head over, and the FB ones not much better, just a little better.

FN threads get even worse over the summer.
