Spurs put $129M price tag on Bale

11:10 AM ET 04.05 | Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has suggested it would take a world-record transfer fee to prise Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer after the Wales winger said that he was open to the prospect of a switch to a leading continental club. "Manchester United sold Cristiano Ronaldo [to Real] but they got an offer of $129M," said Redknapp. "He's Portuguese and this is more his lifestyle here than Manchester may have been. So in the end, it was good business. I'm sure it would have to be [that kind of money for Bale]."

Not likely.... but definitely a nice job by Fulham to ensure that they stick around.
I can't believe Everton is actually in seventh position. Hopefully they can make a run for another Euro League appearance.

Only thing I'll say about the statue...well, two things:
1) What the hell? It. Looks. Awful.
2) Fayed is a dick. His statements make me want to see the fans leave the team and go support someone else just as a big "eff you" to him.

Agreed. That was definitely the worst part of the whole issue.... even worse than the statue!
Teams like Fulham have to fight for what support they do get.... pretty stupid to lay an ultimatum at their feet and be dismissive like that. It was uncalled for.

Comparing the Almighty Bale to CR7 is crazy. CR had 30+ goal seasons and a few years of outstanding performances. Bale has, well, part of one year - it's as bad (or worse) than a gazillion dollars for Andy Carroll (of course, he's English).
