'Old guy' Jarvis a candidate at Miami?

08:22 AM ET 04.06 | Mike Jarvis wanted "the old guy" to win a title, referring to Jim Calhoun, who is three years his senior. Calhoun became the oldest coach to win the NCAA championship, giving old guys like Jarvis hope. Can Jarvis do it at FAU or Miami? ... Jarvis is recruiting, as he searches for a couple bigs to help get an inside game and better rebounding, two areas that hurt the Owls this season. But don't be surprised if the recruiting is interrupted by a talk with Miami about their opening. The interim AD will be making the hire, but with input from president Donna Shalala, who knows Jarvis from back in their D.C. days. And while Miami may want a young up-and-comer, they might gamble on an old guy who has won everywhere he has been and turned FAU around in three seasons.

Martin @ KSU makes a lot of sense for Miami.

Other than being in South Beach, why would Miami be considered a better job?

That's the only reason I can think of.

In honor of the aTm victory last night, I think someone should post the images from this link http://tinyurl.com/3r3zzch.

I think even FJJ can agree that this lass is probably the most positive thing to come from Sheepland.

That's the only reason......Manhattan Kansas vs. Miami. Something tells me he'd like the amenities of Miami better. Lots of chatter here about Martin before Arky hired Anderson. Word (rumors) was he wasn't interested in making a move to another "small town" college. W/ his family connections to Miami, Cuban background, and rumors or wanting to live in a bigger market, just thought Miami made sense.

Besides, why is KSU a better job? B/f they paid for OJ Mayo, had anyone ever heard of KSU basketball? When Pullen leaves, will Martin be able to get another 5-star guy in Manhattan?
